If you are setting up your outlook to work with an email address that is not issued by Yukon Telephone but you are inside our service area you will need to follow these additional steps once you get your email setup.  You will also need a Yukon Telephone email account.  Please contact our Wasilla office to get a Yukon Telephone email account setup.  1-800-478-2556 or 472-2300.

After you have setup your account in outlook click on the TOOLS TAB to pull down the TOOL MENU, click on EMAIL ACCOUNTS.

In the EMAIL ACCOUNTS SCREEN select VIEW OR CHANGE AN EXISTING EMAIL ACCOUNT and click on the NEXT BUTTON.

In the EMAIL ACCOUNTS BOX select you account and click on the CHANGE BUTTON.

On the SETTINGS SCREEN click on the MORE SETTINGS BUTTON.

On the MORE SETTINGS SCREEN click on the OUTGOING SERVER TAB and check the box labeled MY OUTGOING SERVER (SMTP) REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION.   Select LOG ON USING and in the USERNAME and PASSWORD FIELDS put your yukontel.com email address and password.  You must enter your entire email address in the username field.  Check the REMEMBER PASSWORD BOX so that you will not have to re-enter your password when sending and receiving email.

Double check to make sure all the fields have the correct information.  Click on the OK BUTTON to save your information and close the screen.  You should now be able to send and receive email.
