Customers who receive State, Federal, or Tribally Administered Aid as well
as some customers who meet certain income eligibility could receive phone
service for only a dollar a month plus applicable surcharges and taxes.
Those customers getting phone service for the first time can also receive
a discounted installation rate.
If you participate in any of the following programs you are eligible
for the Lifeline Program.

Federal Public Housing Assistance
Food stamps
Low Income Home Energy Assistance
Program
Bureau of Indian Affairs General
Assistance Program
Tribally Administered Temporary
Assistance for Families
Head Start (Only those meeting its
income qualifying standard)
National Schools Lunch Programs
Free Lunch Program
State of Alaska Public Assistance
Programs
Any other Means Test Social Service
Program Administered by the State or Federal Government
If your annual Household Income is 135% or less
of the National Poverty Level for Tribal Lands you also qualify for the
Lifeline Program.

Customers signing up for phone service for the
first time will receive a discount on their installation fee of 50%. Also,
if you decide to toll restrict your phone service Yukon Telephone will
waive the deposit charge.
